Annual Report 2007

In a recent magazine article LIFE was described as “the human face of the pro-life movement”. This description is rather apt. Through our caring, education, housing and fertility services LIFE offers a compassionate, caring response to the thousands of women, men and children who approach us for help and support each year. We are about actions rather than words as we work towards our vision of a society where the rights and dignity of each person are afforded the utmost respect from fertilisation until natural death. We look back with great pride on the difference we have been able to make to people’s lives – the women whose lives have been transformed during their stay in one of our houses, the students whose self-worth and self-esteem have been boosted following one of our education conferences and the women who have sought our help when faced with a crisis pregnancy.

There is a place for everyone in LIFE; from stakeholders who provide major project funding to volunteers who provide baby equipment for young mothers; from Support Workers in our houses to volunteers in our pregnancy care centres; from those who promote LIFE locally to those who give a regular gift to the national organisation. We need you all and are very grateful for your support.

LIFE is on the right track but we will get run over if we just sit there! Society is changing and we need to adapt to meet the needs of the people who need our help, meeting them where they are and taking them to where we would like them to be. With your help and support, our vision can be realised.
