Practical support for those who need it most

Although exciting, having a new baby can place an enormous financial strain on you and your family.  LIFE understands this and set up The Gemma Fund to provide practical help and financial support to families with babies or young children. 

We often receive donated baby equipment or clothes in our Care Centres, based all around the country.  Our volunteers help re-distribute these donated goods to other families who need a helping hand with the costs that go hand-in-hand with a new arrival!  Thanks to donations that people in the past have made to LIFE, we are able to offer small financial grants (usually under £500) to families if we haven't got a suitable donated item to pass on, or help is needed with other costs such as travel.

What to do if you need help 

If you are need in of support from the Gemma Fund please e-mail gemmafund@lifecharity.org.uk or down-load the Gemma Fund application form by clicking here and post the completed form to Vicky O'Brien, LIFE, 1 Mill Street, Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, CV31 1ES ensuring you fill in your contact details so we can get in touch with you.

What to do if you want to help others

If you would like to help other families with young children by donating baby equipment that you no longer need, please visit your nearest Care Centre (locations and directions can be found using the map on the home page).
