At School
There are lots of fun ways that you and your friends can get involved in helping LIFE, the charity that takes care of mums, dads and other kids just like you.
Here's some suggestions to ask your teacher about:
- Have a non-uniform day, where everyone brings in £1 and gets to wear their own clothes instead
- Bake some cakes and sell them to your teachers and friends
- See if your mum, or your friends' mums, have any baby clothes, toys, cots or anything else that they don't want any more - perhaps they used to belong to you or your little brother or sister! If they do, bring them along to school and someone from LIFE can come and collect them to give them to other families who need them
- Have a football tournament over lunch-times one week, where every team pays £1 to enter
- Set up a “Five-Alive” tuck shop, that sells healthy snacks and treats at breaks and lunch-times, to help everyone get their 5-a-day. Teachers and friends could bring in cartons of fruit juice, carrots, apple slices, homemade biscuits and boxes of raisins from home and all money made goes to LIFE.
